sabbath kind of weekend and well a not so good end
First of in case my mama reads this by tommorow.. happy happy birthday mommy! I am so glad that you were chosen by God to be my momma.. i am the most blessed girl in the whole entire world. So I want you to know how much i love love love you and I am so glad to be yours! I hope that you had a good time at your womens conference and have a great birthday. Your present should have arrived in the mail!
So I had a great sabbath kind of weekend.. the kind where I really feel like I rested. Sometimes its hard here because we do not have nine to five hours like in america and there is as my friend casey said a very thin line between “work” and “life” as people are always at our houses ect, we are always speaking in another language.. so it’s hard to remmeber sometimes to take a sabbath rest. But this weekend was awesome and full of sabbath rest.
Friday night after the nose pierci ng we had girls night and watched a girl movie which was alot of fun. (and by the way– my nose piercing I changed to a tinee weenie small blue diamond and i frankly think it looks soo cute .. no large ones for me.. don’t picture a hoop or a something coming out of my nose that looks like a bugger.. it’s small)
then saturday after church we took our nepalee friends out on our scooters to a reastraunt to have pizza.. it was so much fun. I love this particular family so much.. and it was like if I went out after church with friends in america.. except we talked in nepalee the whole time. It made me happy that it was so comfortable and so much fun to talk in nepalee and hang out with them. Then I came home and leah and i watched a movie… then on saturday night I got to 1) talk to my sister and here her very very clearly praise the lord 2) talk and see my daddy also. It has been about 3 weeks since we have talked and it was soo good to talk to him. Did I mention how much he represents the heavenly father to me. He was so cute about my nose ring.. he was like well if it is one of those cute dainty ones then i’ll like it! I love my daddy. It was so refreshing to talk to him and see him
Then on Sunday (today) I had a fabulous morning in my fuzzy pink pj’s and bathrobe adn coffee and time with Jesus.. then I went on a beautiful walk (oh yeah.. in nepal we have church on saturdays) to buy fruit to make a homemade apple pie.. made apple pie then after that listened to kay arthurs teaching tape with my friends, then went to foreigner fellowship.
So I have probablly bored you so much with the details.. but all that to say it was a lazy sabbath kind of weekend..
and well tonight it ended not so well. We were on a bus going to where house fellowship was.. and we got off one bus and were getting on another when these two guys jumped in front of my friend emily who was behind me and they grabbed at me and grabbed me quickly then dug in my purse and grabbed my wallet and ran before I knew what was happening. I got on the bus a little stunned and then realized they had taken my wallet. The problem is all nepalees look alike and we had no chance to find them in the crowd. The other problem (besides feeling so violated) was that my wallet had everything in it.. credit card, debit card passport, post office key well my whole life basically so would you please pray for me as I try to sort that all from nepal. I will go tommorow and try to get a new passport asap since we could possibly have to leave when the elections come up.. but my nepalee visa and india visa were in there so i am not sure if i will have to pay for those all again ect.. so well it’s a bit frustrating. I KNOW God is in control of all these things.. and Satan has really been attacking me lately. So I know that he was thinking if he could not get me in the other ways because I was fighting back with God’s truth he would get me this way. Well.. it’s not going to work.. Satan just you better JAO (God said not very politely in nepalee)
just wanted to ask you guys to pray.
Blessings
Jenn, I’m so glad that you had a chance to rest some. That’s AWFUL about your wallet!! I am so sorry! And awful about being grabbed in general. I’m praying that the Lord, who delights in all those details, will take care of all of it.
I love you!
wow, a nose ring! How cool is that. I think I would have one if my kids wouldn’t try to yank it out. I am so sorry about your wallet being stolen. I know that it feels like a total violation as well as frustrating. Don’t worry the Lord has your back and he will take care of the situatuion!
Love,
leanne
Jenn,
I wanted you to know Sandra and I prayed for you a little while ago. Jenn I am sorry about your wallet, but even more than that I’m sorry for how shaken I know you must be from all this. The prayer warrior is praying big time! I am glad for all the good things, but it is overshadowed by all this. I will e-mail you soon. Our Pastor’s wife prayed for you in prayer group tonight. Jenn I know you must be weary, but remember the Lord Goes with you! I love you sis!
sweet friend, praise God for rest! and praise God for trials because they produce perseverance which produces character and hope. i will definitely be praying for things to go smoothly in trying to get everything replaced. with God, all things are possible!!
love you.
Jenn,

All our sins and griefs to bear…”

Jenn,
As T.J. said, we had a long season of prayer for you last night. I’m so mad and so sad at the same time. Mad at the enemy and sad for you. I know that God is going to turn this around for your good and that He is going to amaze you with the way He works this whole situation out.
I’ve prayed a lot for you this morning and will continue to do so. I’ll send you an email shortly.
Love you bunches,
Sandra
Oh no, so sorry about your wallet! I know how stressful that can be. 🙁 Thanks for commenting on my blog! 🙂
