Happy Valentines Day

Happy Happy Late Valentines Day. Thank you so much for all the e-cards, e-mail Happy Valentines wishes, Sandra for your cards that I always find in my mail box, and Matha Miles for the amazing card that you sent me that really ministered to my soul!

I had an incredible Valentines Day spent with my Valentine Jesus (and my teammate Leah) we went out for a nice dinner because we figured hey.. even though we don’t have earlthly valentines we have an incredible Heavenly valentine so that is reason enough to celebrate and have a nice dinner!)

So today I celebrated my valentines day another day and got myself a hair cut. It’s great because it’s kindof a swanky foreigner place and when you get your hair washed.. well mahima I felt i saw the gates of heaven. That could also be because we don’t have hot water, electricity, water here to wash our hair very often .. and drying it often either so it was glorious. It’s so funny because we time our lives by when there is electricity here. You see we have a schedule of outages.. and well Mondays are our favorite days because we know we have electricity all day long.. then you know today at 2 there is power from 2 to 5 then out again and you can know when it’s 10 o clock because then it goes out again 🙂 Then on wednesday i go to bed with my light turned on (because there is no power:) and know that if I want to wake up at 8:00 the next morning my light willl come on because that’s when we have power.. it’s hysterlical really.

Yesterday I taught my second Biblical counseling class to the Bible college students.. it was so much fun. I love teaching! (and well actually I do a little preaching to them also 🙂

Wednesday my ladies bible study class was awesome. Our papa is soo good. I had met a girl on the street when I went exercie walking with my one of my Bible study ladies the other day and I invited her to Bible study and she actually came on Wednesday night. she is Hindu but our lesson that night was on the love of God and how we are his valentine and she was so excited. I love love love these ladies. Oh the faithfulness of God. This BIle study has grown from 4 women to now we have 20 coming every week… glory. I gave each of them a rose and told them how they like Song of Solomon says are the rose of Sharon!

I have been driving the “purple pleasure ” around alot lately– even started taking passengers… because there is no gas anywhere in nepal because ther is a big strike in the region between nepal and india and so gas cannot come.. and the purple pleasure doesn’t take much gas. I still laugh everytime I am on it. I am NOT for those of you that know me an adventure seeker..t he teacups at disneyland were almost to much for me.. but here I am driving in this crazy traffic where there is noooo rules at all like I own the road on the purple pleasure.. it’s God and his strength. I Wish you could hear the commentary and the background music that goes through my head as I am driving.. it would make a hilarous sound track.. watch out for that group of peole that crosses the road without looking, woah..there is a cow.. remember jenn there is no such thing as lanes… beep your non intimidating horn….. don’t hit the. what is that… hehhehehe

last nigh on the way back home from going out to eat with leah i was driving the purple pleaure and got puled over at a road block stop. I don’t have a nepalee drivers license.. but i do have one thing.. blonde hair and blue eyes.. so i raised the plastic part of my helmet, batted my eyes and said namaste.. and they waved me on.. hehhehe

  2. Unfortunately the cops that I’ve ran into didn’t care too much when I batted my eyes at them. I’m excited that you’ve had a different line of success, however. Jenn, I love ya’ and miss ya’. You keep up the great work because for Papa no work is in vain!!! (1 Cor. somewhere).

  5. I am so glad that you had a good Valentine’s Day! TJ and I went out and celebrated last night. We went to the movie to see “Fools Gold” and then we went to Apple Bee’s and ate some shrimp. I loved your reflections at worm riding medicine time. Thank God they have a deworming medicine that you can take! Ha! I think we need to send TVA over to Nepal and get you all some electricity. Ha! Next Month we will celebrate your birth and Easter all in one month. Do you plan to have a Easter program. I can’t wait to see how many Easter eggs you dye? Ha! You know how many cookies you made at Christmas. Send us a picture of your new hair cut. I know that it makes one feel good all over to have a new hair cut. We are so proud of you and love you and continue to keep you in our prayers daily. Love, Momma Ellis
