now an official motorcyle mama for jesus

Sorry to all my faithful readers that I am just now writing. I have had a very busy week and on top of that in nepal they are doing a lot more load sharing this week (cutting off our electricity) so it’s been tricky to find a time to get online and update without the power going off or the internet not working.

I have had such a great week.. time has flown by. I cannot believe that it is already thursday. I also cannot believe how much God is increasing my love for these people and this place. I cannot explain what God did in my heart in coming back after being gone, but I feel more like I am right smack in the center of God’s will then I ever have. This week has been busy with catching up with nepalee friends since I have been gone and other things… like picking up my motorcyle (scooter.. whatever you chose to call it) today! 🙂 I still have not driven it in traffic or anything– going to still keep practicing. I just want to thank all of my supporters who make it possible for me to purchase this so i don’t have to ride a taxi everywhere I go. I am going to be one cute motorcycle mama for Jesus 🙂 In fact I a not kidding about all the things you have to dodge .. today as I was riding on the back with Nathan we literally almost hit the biggest pig I have ever seen.. hehehe.. i thought it was a cow it was so big. You never what you are going to see in Nepal 🙂

Today me and my language teacher had language outside. It was cold outside but even colder inside because of the stone house and no heat (brr… this cold weather is defionatly feeding my addiction to coffee because you have to constantly be drinking something warm.. and i have found that a simple old fashioned hot water bottle is the best invention ever made because it sure does keep you warm in the cold night).. and as i was trying to learn nepalee with him– i looked up and the clouds had moved and i could see all of the himilayan range.. what a mighty mighty God i serve.. the same God that created those is going to/is giving me the ability to learn this language and live for him in a country that is so lost without him. Our God is soo big.. with him there is nothing we cannot do.. no fear we cannot overcome as his perfect love casts out fear (like driving in nepal.. i wish you could experience it), we can live and move in the grip of his love.

So please pray for me in the next two days. Tommorow morning the landlord of my friend is coming over.. she is very hindu but really searching for love, so pray that we can plant the seeds of the gospel in her heart and that she will be open. Then friday night my favorite hindu shopkeepers are coming over to my house for the first time to eat. . Please pray that I can also plant seeds in their hearts of the ONE true God. Then Saturday the pastor and his wife of my nepalee church are coming over for dinner and I a going to approach them about doing 1) a live nativity scene on a street corner in kathmandu 2) doing a christmas evangelistic outreach play that I would direct. Just pray about those upcoming possibilities.

i love you guys. sorry so long.. so much to praise God for.. i am confident of this.. that your prayers are changing my life and those around me.

Deri danibaugh.. ma deri pratna garchu tapailai (thank you so much I am parying for you)

oh yeah the other picutre is of me rockclimbing yesterday with some of my friends. I found that i am not good at rock climbing but i really like the coming down rapelling part 🙂 I had a blast and I let out a big long loud glory shout as I was swinging through the air!

  5. Jenn,

I was just about to call T.J. and say, “Okay, where is she? I’m getting concerned!” I was so happy when I checked you blog late yesterday afternoon, and you had posted a new entry.

I was getting more and more excited as I read, but when I came to the part about the live Nativity scene, I just had to do a little dance. (I wasn’t very Baptist either, T.J.) As you know, live Nativity scenes have a very special place in my heart, especially this year since it looked like we might not be able to have ours at Christmas on the River. But God had other plans. His plans are always bigger and better than we can imagine! Now the Nativity scene is not only going to be at our event, but at two other events in the city. God has turned the whole situation around for good, and more people than ever will see it this year!

I will continue to pray that God will grant you favor with the pastor and his wife about these two projects. I can’t wait to see what God will do!

    Isaiah 64:4
Since ancient times no one has heard,
    no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra
