I am soo blessed

Hey dear friends. I had to title this post i am so blessed because frankly I just spent all day singing that song. I am blessed, I am blessed from when i rise up in the morning to when i lay my head to rest. I am so blessed to be on this adventure with God. I have days when I just can’t believe that he would give me this privilidge. Sure it is difficult.. but I am doing what I love. Discipleship, evangelism and just hanging out with people trying to shine christ!
Yesterday was an awesome day. I just love going to church and the body of Nepalee christians their. My heart swells when i think of them. I came to love on them with the love of Christ and instead they love me 100 fold! I love it when i walk and all my orphans yell auntie jenn didi.. and race to see who can get in my lap. I love it that the women all gather around and proclaim how glad they are to see me. I love to watch them worship. I love it that my God is at work here.. and as I always say he doesn’t need me but he is using me.
So our cook night went great. The bottom pic is of my friend sarah cutting up the eggplant for our eggplant casserole (i’ve become a great fan of eggplant). Please notice the toaster oven next to the microwave that doesn’t work to well. That is my oven.. yup.. a small upgrade of an easy bake oven 🙂 For girls nite (plus nathan) i made red lobster cheese biscuits with yak cheese. Wow.. they were amazing i must say!

Last night I hung out with the bible college girls for the last time before they graduate today. I am soo proud of them. I did not know that God woudl give me such a ministry with them– but I just love love love them. I know THEY are going to change this country for Christ.

ok.. so today is graduation so I should go get ready. The top picture is of me in my sari at the tailor. Most people don’t wear purple here– but I wanted to walk out dressed as if I was in the robe of righteousness! The next picture is me and my nepalee best friend sita.. we found a coffee shop in the tourist section of town that combines my two favorite things– coffee and nepal’s version of icecream(oh how i miss mayfields)

i love you guys

  1. Just when I think I can’t love you more than I already do, you post something so wonderful! Jenn I want to be more like you. I’m reading about Ester in the book, and she reminds me of you. God gave her a beauty that was not produced by a mask, but was the real deal. I wish I could hug you right now! My email has been sorry. Love you! I think you will get a special surpise soon!

  2. I love the sari! It is so beautiful and I would have chosen purple too. Why don’t they wear much purple there? I thought it was a color of royalty–or is that just from our “royal” family?? Have a great week!

  3. Jenn: I love your new sari! It is just lovely and you look beautiful in it! I think purple is your color! The purple always reminds me of your days with the purple pounders! Ha! God must be so proud of you! I can just picture all of the orphan’s running to you. You can just draw everyone to you, because you have so much love to give to everyone. I read the carepage on your cousin Emma. Oh Jenn she is so cute! I have been praying for her! I must close for now. Praying for you! Momma Ellis

  4. You look beautiful in the Sari Jenn!

Also, I must say I am excited to try your Cheese Biscuits when I get there. Red Lobster cheese biscuits are one of my favorite foods in the world! 🙂 I thought I was going to have to give them up in Nepal, but I guess not. 🙂

  5. Jenn. I have never ever seen you more beautiful. You look more beautiful and radiant than I did on my wedding day. I can’t believe how natural you look in one of those. And skinny too. Those are very slenderizing:)…hehhe. I am so proud of you, and amazed at your cooking abilities. Wow. You put me to shame…maybe one day you will write a famous cookbook, 101 things to cook in a toaster oven!

  6. Jenn,

As a mother, it always thrills me when my two daughters are happy. And that’s the way I feel right now after reading your blog – like one of my girls is so very happy. And that just thrills my socks off!

Isn’t it amazing that even though being there is really hard at times, God has given you such a supernatural love for the people of Nepal? But why are we surprised? We’ve been asking Him for that. But what a bonus that God has filled people there with such a supernatural love for you! That’s not to say that you aren’t easy to love because YOU ARE! But the kind of love you are experiencing there is one that ministers to your body, mind and spirit! And it infuses you with a joy that is full of unspeakable glory!

As I always say to my daughters, “Nothing makes me happier than to see you happy!”

I am soooooo blessed that you are soooooo blessed! And by the way, you look soooooo beautiful!

    Love you bunches,
    Sandra
