sleepover at my house

hello guys. Just wanted to send a quick update.. the internet has been down and I have been pretty busy. It’s been a great weekend.. and it’s about to get better. All of the Bible college girls are coming to spend the night at my house. We are going to watch a movie and have devotions, and then tommorow go to english church and then supposably go swimming. (I have NO idea where we would swim here.. i don’t know if I want to know). I am so excited about. I am having them over to celebrate the end of the school year!

so I have been busy cooking to prepare.. it takes a while to cook for 13 girls here. I made for tonight just desert : homemade sugar cookies and homemade brownies
I am cooking them breakfast tommorow so I made: homemade donuts, banana bread and tommorow will add to that made from scratch pancakes. You know the funny thing- they will probablly miss their rice and lentils.. hehehe. they don’t like to branch out to much.
So I am super excited. I have found this is the kind of thing I love love love to do! I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures for you! 🙂

did i mention how much i love you guys
michelle : special note for you: This reminds me of when we cooked all those cookies for the boys.. hehehe. who cares if the chocl. cookies have carpet fuzz on them .. it’s 2 am 🙂

  1. Hello Ms. Martha Stewart of South Asia,

I know you are going to have so much fun at your slumber party. It sounds like the girls are in for a real treat with all of those homemade goodies.

It’s so neat to see how God is using you to bring joy and laughter to these young ladies. As you make them feel special with your elaborate parties, I know they are getting a sense of how much God cherishes them.

Love and prayers that you have a great time celebrating our risen Savior,
    Sandra

  2. Jenn,
I didn’t find out about the 2am incident until after the fact. However they were delicious. I love you Jenn and miss you very much.

    Todd

  3. Jenn: Who would have ever thought that God would send you all the way to South Asia to learn how to bake and cook! ha! ha! Michelle has been here today and my Mom (Mumzie) has been giving her lessons on how to bake homemade bread and also how to use the bread machine that has been passed around in your family. ha!
I know that your slumber party will be party down girl! I recall some parties with you in our basement. I’ll never forget the party with all those boys and that weird game you all played called kiss and tackle! Those must have been the wild days! ha!
I have had a fever for the past couple of days and a horrible cough. The good old doc put me on a Z pack and some other medication so I will not be in church tomorrow. So that means TJ is stuck at home with me. ha! I must get well so that I can face those new fist graders on Monday. ha!
Seriously, God has just made you blossom in South Asia. You look so great and I’m so glad that you are having such a good time with these young women. God Bless You….Momma Ellis
