momo party and more ….
Happy one month anniversary to me. I have officially been here for one month today. Wow! Crazy huh! There are days when it seems it has flown by, other days when it has not! 🙂
I was at international church today and just rejoicing and praising God.. He has truly brought me to a place where i am beginning to know HIM like I never would have before. I mean.. i know i’ve been here before .. but it’s sooo much different making your home in a country that is so different from your own. I was overwhelmed at church today thinking that GOD called me to live this life. WOW. In the good days and bad, He is teaching me HIS all encompassing, never failing, amazing love. At international church, where there are truly many many different nations represented, tears streamed down my face as I sing the worship songs in a new way. I can sing blessed be your name– in a land that is plentiful, in a wilderness– you give and take away and know it in a whole new way. I can also sing How great is our God and Great is THY faithfulness in a whole new way to! God is teaching me now how to have a Mary heart in a “mission.” world. So I will keep you updated as He teaches me these things.
As for my weekend– it was great. Busy but good. Saturday was nep. church which I LOVE.. I am coming to love the fellowship of believers there so much. They just radiate the king. Friday night I hung out at the Bible college with my students (we watched facing the giants.. thanks TJ.. they loved it.. as did I .. the third time I have watched it since i have been here). Then saturday night we had momo making party at the college. Momos are like steamed dumplings, and we made like 600 of them. It was awesome. I have never seen so much dough… I had a blast.. and it turned into a huge flour fight, as you will hopefully see in the pictures. (if they download). I am falling more in love with the students, and realizing this is the ministry that I am most passionate about here. These are those that are going to change nep. for Christ. For example in the taxi on the way to international church today, one of my students who went with me shared the gospel with the driver. And I thought God needed me here! The amazing thing is HE wants me.

Jenn,
Thank you so much for this blog. I have checked for an update so many times today and yesterday, and I just called T.J. to ask her if she had heard from you. I’m glad to know that you were just busy, and from the looks of things, having great fun.
I emailed you about the wonderful job T.J. did on Friday night as she sang at Denise’s party. You would have been so proud of her. God really used her to minister to all of us.
Thank you again for the blog and the pictures. It’s so comforting to see your smiling face and to get a glimpse into your life there in Nep.
Love and prayers,
Sandra
Hey Jenn! I’m thrilled you are okay! I’ve had a real burden to pray for you in the last 24 hours. I hope that my email encouraged you and that God allowed me to say the right things. It is so great to see you having fun. You seem to becoming quite the nep cook. I’m having to use Mom’s computer because for some reason mine will not let me post on your blog. I’m sure its just one of those things. I’m dying to talk with you. Today has been a really tough day for me. I will talk to you more about that later. Know that I pray for you and if you get sec I know that you pray for me to when you can. We are all so proud of you. You encourage us so much. I see you growing in the Lord a lot. I love you! Teej

Jenn oh the memories in the kitchen! It is good to see you having fun! Just had to tell you that I went to see Dr. Bullock today. Josh went last week to see him. I am surprised that he wasn’t one of the first people we called when Grandmama died. We all have upper respiratory infections around here. I can’t talk to good right now. Dr. Bullock said it is the ragweed blooming right now. Could you please send some of your rain to us. Everything is dying at our house and Brenda’s. Grass, bushes, trees everything. We need that rain bad!!! Miss you so much! Love you!!!
