mice presents, taxi drivers, and the peace of this country

Well I came home from dinner with some friends ( I am so glad I feel better– I even chanced it and ate some of the chicken butter masala which is pretty spicy.. i may regret it later.. but it was good!) and my cat had left me a little present. Me and the cat I inherited with the house have a love hate relationship. But anyways– right at the foot of the bed (that is where she leaves all of my presents) had left me a huge mouse friend.. dead at least. I know i’ve been here long enough when I just calmly got a peace of paper, picked it up and threw it outside. It is normal to eat in restraunts with cochroaches the size of mice, to pick bugs out of your food ect.. .. so why not pick up a mouse for Jesus!

Today I taught at the Bible college again and loved it. I taught world religions class on jehovah’s witnessess. They got tickeled about me laughing when I talked about them bicycling in america! I also had a pretty frustrating language lesson… please please please as my prayer warriors keep up the prayer for my language. I think it is normal in language learning to hit a wall where you can’t’ process anymore for a time and feel like you can’t speak your own language anymore.. but still.. please pray! 🙂
Also, I had an awesome chance to witness to my taxi driver today. Taxi drivers are captive to what you have to say if they want your business (especially now with no petrol in the valley). So I was talking to him in nepal in our traffic jam and he sai he was budhhist. I said I was a Christian and he said same same (typical nepal. phrase) and I said no.. he said how, so in my broken nepalee i began to share with him. Please pray for him!

Also: please pray for this country now. I almost hesitate to post this, but yesterday there was another major upset in the government. I was actually supposed to be going to the area where the rally was, but by the protection of the Lord my language teacher warned me not to go. It is to complicated to explain here, but since april when the people took over power from the king, there have been talks of the election coming in november. The communist party which has terrorized nep. for many years joined the peace talks and agreed to give up arms. Well yesterday they resigned from the government. They are demanding this country become a communist republic and called a huge rally in the capital. The rally was peaceful, but at the rally they declared a nationwide protest beginning next week and say they wont back down until they get their way. For security reasons i cannot say much more about this party, but please pray for this country. These nationwide protests could mean long periods of time with bundh’s (not being able to leave your house), street rallies, they plan on going door to door with a propaganda campaign, and are forcing all colleges and schools to shut down until further notice. If the schools or the shops do not agree, “forceful action will be taken”. So would you please pray for the people of this country. I truly believe a spiritual battle is taking place in the heavenlies like never before. Satan wants these people to be hopeless. But I am ON THE WINNING TEAM!
